After all the market assessments and business plans, many new products still fail to achieve commercial success. Why do so many new products fail?

The responses most often heard relate to the competition: “We’re priced too high – They have more features – We’re too late to market.” One possibility that does not tend to surface is the failure of companies to effectively launch the new product to their sales force. Unfortunately, that is often the problem. No matter how good the product or attractive the price, an effective launch to your sales force is a key step for success.
