ConvaTec has signed a co-promotion agreement with HemCon Medical Technologies Inc. to market ConvaTec’s  advanced wound and critical care products to the U.S. Armed Forces.

Via this agreement, HemCon has been granted sales and marketing rights for ConvaTec’s AQUACEL and AQUACEL Ag dressings for managing acute and chronic wounds and the Flexi-Seal Fecal Management System for the management of fecal incontinence.

The agreement will provide the U.S. Armed Forces with the support and products they need to enable safer, more stable recoveries, said Bill Block, President, HemCon U.S.

ConvaTec, which has four key business divisions in Ostomy Care, Wound Therapeutics, Continence and Critical Care and Infusion Devices, has indicated that this agreement will also form the basis of similar initiatives to expand its presence in specialized, acute care settings.
